Waterfall Blue Ridge Parkway Appalachian Trail
Apple Orchard Falls Trail, Va is located off the Blue Ridge Parkway north and managed by the USDA Forest Service. You can also access the falls from the North Creek Entrance from below in the Arcadia/Jennings Creek Area. Always check the National Park Service's Road Closures alerts on the Blue Ridge Parkway before heading to your destination.

Best Picture Locations
Tons of great rock formations, smaller waterfalls and even a nice overlook right before you arrive at the falls...but it still takes second place to Apple Orchard Falls itself. Picture taken during dry season.
Apple Orchard Falls Trail is a great hike for the beginner or expert. You can get to the main waterfall from either Arcadia at the base of the mountain or Blue Ridge Parkway from the ridge. I've done both treks and they're both worth doing equally.
