Harkening Hill Trailis the third summit of the Peaks of Otter including Sharp Top Trail and Flat Top Mountain Trail. Managed in part by the National Parks Service, easy to moderate difficulty trail showcases many balancing rocks and a memorable outlook at the top.

The Overlook at Harkening Hill is right up there with the great overlooks around the Roanoke area. There are also some mysterious looking balancing rocks that are rather photogenic.
Harkening Hill Trail completes the 3 part series of the Peaks of Otter in Virginia. Harkening Hill Trail is the lesser-used trail of the Peaks of Otter if only because it's overshadowed by the more known Sharp Top Trail.
